Mirrorface, Cleve Carney Gallery
Using ink, polypropylene and transparent vinyl to activate the walls, floor, and modernist windows of Cleve Carney Ga...
Merging the formats of an audio tour and a guided visualization session, this multisensory installation opens a conversation with the living architecture of our own bodies. The tour allows participants to experience sensory travel untethered from medical imagery. Visitors are seated comfortably and led through a relaxing process in which a small mint serves as an entry point, following its passage into the mouth, down the throat, and into a reimagined anatomy. During the experience a vessel is created, and added to a table in the second curtained room, accessible only to those who have completed the first stage of the tour. Language-optional surveys allow participants to record their experience before leaving.
